At the heart of our common life as a congregation is worship. It is indispensable to our fatih and the basis of every aspect of our ministry. We approach worship with humility and reverence. We seek to use music of enduring quality for worship.
Adult Music Programs
The Adult Choir provides leadership each week in the Sunday morning worship service. Those interested in choral music are invited to be a part of the choir as together we make music to the Lord. The adult choir meets each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room located just behind the worship center. In addition to leading in worship each Sunday, the Adult Choir leads in many special events in the life of Agape Baptist Church. There is at least one choral program annuallly. On occasion we have instrumental recitals as well as duo piano concerts.
Another way to share your love of music is through handbells. If you have handbells experience and want to learn how you can be a part of this ministry, you may call the church office or inquire when you visit the church facilities. Adult handbells rehearse each Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm in the Henderson Hall education building.
Adult Instrumental Ministry
Agape Baptist Church continues its tradition of outstanding music through a variety of instrumenalists who contribute their talents to Sunday worship. If you have experience playing an instrument and would like to serve the Lord in this way, please contact one of our music leaders or the church office.
Children’s Music Programs
Music education begins at an early age. Even infants hear music sung and played in Sunday morning classes. So, Agape has a Children’s Choir for elementary school age children, as well. Children’s spiritual, musical, and social development is the goal of this music program for children. The Children’s Choir meets each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m in HH111..
