Synchronicity strikes again…

Synchronicity happens.

I don’t know if it happens to you, but it sure does to me. I’ll be minding my own business, but all of a sudden, the same idea appears in all sorts of unrelated (seeming) formats throughout a given week. For a preacher, synchronicity can be a real gift, and a real headache. For instance, I’ll be mulling over a theological theme/idea for a sermon, but I will notice this idea communicated through many different vehicles. This week, it happened again. I studied Mark 1 at the beginning of the week without much of an idea on which route to take with the sermon. I was at the sermonic spork in the road. But, just in reading a couple of seemingly unrelated articles, and thr0ugh some rather interesting events in my family life, the ideas began to come together. Keep in mind, this is not a search for “signs.” This is God using a variety of different ways to get through a thick skull, namely mine.

Below, I have listed the articles that struck me in such a major way. You will note the convicting nature of both articles. Even if you don’t agree with everything in them, they should at least make you think.
