God has endowed this church and its members with many gifts. Romans 12:6–8 says:
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
God gave us these gifts “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12-13).
God gives us the tools, the strength, and the guidelines to extend love and grace to others. God gives us all we need for life and to live it abundantly.
God’s love and grace is far reaching. Christ carried every sin, every separation, every loss, every heart broken, every wound of the spirit that refuses to close, all the broken experiences of everyone who is living, has lived or will live.
To bring us back to wholeness.
God’s love and grace recognizes our whole life story – the dark and the light. We have done nothing to earn God’s love and grace. Yet, God deeply loves us and accepts us. We are safe and secure in God’s love and grace.
Breathe deeply of God’s love. Embrace it firmly and live it with yourselves and others.
