Shena grew up in Commerce, TX. Every summer as a child, she would visit her grandparents who were serving in a mission church in South Dakota. It was during one of these visits that she was led to salvation and accepted Christ as her savior. She began teaching Sunday school when she was nine-years-old and continued to serve in many different facets of church life throughout her high school and college years. Shena completed an Elementary Education degree and certification at Texas A&M Commerce but felt God’s call to attend seminary. Directly after graduation, she attended George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. It was during this time that she discovered my passion for children’s ministry and began serving as a children’s minister. Directly after her graduation from Truett in December 2010 she began her journey at Agape Baptist Church. Shena has an avid love for art, theater, and music. She enjoys reading and running along the Trinity River trails.
