Agape Message 2-3-16
Friends, “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows, God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us. He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:7-10)
According to our calendar this is the time of year we recognize and show love in special ways to those who are in our families and those we love dearly. Shouldn’t we also show our love to God? Of course we need to express our love and thanks to God daily. He also tells us to show love to one another. Showing love to our fellow man (love one another) is a way of showing love to God. Let us fill our lives with actions of love, which will be pleasing to God.
Our Global Missions Offering to date is $14,378.00. This is nearly $6,000 below our goal and less than we gave last year. You are encouraged, if you can, to give a little more on Sunday. Remember that all of this offering goes to support our CBF personnel, to keep them on the field, and provide for their ministry.
Thanks to all those who helped to make the Fifth Sunday fellowship a great time for all. Christian fellowship is a blessing from God and fills lives with joy and happiness. Thanks for those who took their time to make it such a great success.
