“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25: 35-40)

I Believe most of you have received the word that there will be a short business meeting at the close of the Sunday Morning service. It is for the purpose of made a decision on the report to the church from the Intentional Team. The church will need to accept or reject their report and suggestions of how Agape Baptist Church will face our future. This has already been discussed in business meeting, so there will not be time for discussion, only voting.

It was announced Sunday evening at the business meeting, that we have had a family volunteer to invite our summer intern, Luke Moody in their home during this period. What a great blessing this to our church and church family.

We have the opportunity to be a presence at Luella Merrett Elementary School on May 20 to help with their career day with the students.  If you have/had a career that you could share with a class of students, please sign up at the back of the worship center on Sunday, May 1.  Thirty minute time slots begin at 9:00 and go to 2:00.  You may choose the time(s) and grade levels you prefer.  You may meet with one class or more, if you have the time. Sign-up sheets need to be given to Edlyne on May 1, as they will be given to the school counselor on May 2.

Sunday May 1, 4:00pm Transition Team will meet

5:30pm Steering Team Meeting

Mother’ Day Roses may be purchased through Sunday May 1. Information and money may be given at the back of the Worship Center.

You should look for forms to make suggestions to the deacon body, on persons you would recommend to be asked to serve on our Pastor Search Team. The Deacon body is assigned the task of naming this team and the church will vote at the appropriate time. The deacons would like to hear from you for suggestions please. There will be a place to give your response. Your help is greatly appreciated.

We have much to be thankful for, the storms passed Fort Worth without significant trouble. Please remember in prayer, those areas who were hit hard.

Extended Care May 1: Mayeli Jones and Charlene Bass

See You Sunday,
