Friday Message

Agape Friday Message 5-22-15

“For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.” (Isiah 61:11)

Please be mindful to praising God for the wonderful rains and the water which fill our lakes and streams. Water is a great need yet we take it for granted. Often we complain about the storms and uncomfortable conditions which accompany the rain. We should remember to thank Him for our water and remember those in prayer who have been so devastated by the recent storms.

This Sunday May 24, 2015 “Agape in Action” will hear from Director of Development for Texas Baptists, J. Netherton. He will speak on Missions Foundation of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. I feel sure he will share opportunities in which they have provided help to those in need. Thanks to Alice Curtis for arranging this speaker. Following the service he will answer questions at the back.

There will be no evening services on Memorial Day weekend. Morning services will be scheduled as usual on that Sunday Morning. It will be our time to remember those who have gone on before us.

June 7 is a special time to remember in the History of Agape. We will celebrate on Sunday Night, June 7 with a Pot Luck evening Meal together. We are remembering that Agape is beginning our 10th year of service to the Lord. As this tenth year goes by we will be celebrating in various ways and times. Let us thank God for his guidance, loving care, and blessings. On

June 7, we will have time for singing favorite hymns and time to share our words of thanksgiving and praise.

Agape has a time in July to join with others in our Tarrant Baptist Association to give bags of toiletries to the homeless. Ladies are now sewing cloth bags that will hold these items. Please help to collect the following: wash cloths, bar soap, deodorant* toothbrushes, toothpaste* lotion, shampoo, combs, (no rat-tails). *items indicate these are greatly needed.

Extended Session Workers: May 24: Mayeli Jones, Carla Johnson,
