Friday Message

Agape Friday Message 7-31-15

Friends, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither heights nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Our summer is moving on quite fast as tomorrow will be August1. Teachers and students will be making plans for the beginning of the school year. It’s school supply time for the children at Luella Merrett Elementary School. Each August we help our Adopt-a-School partner this way. The counselor distributes these supplies on an as-needed basis. Supplies may be brought to the church on Sundays August 9 or 16. They may also be dropped off at the church office. Collection boxes will be placed at the entrances to the buildings. If you wish to give money for uniforms, you may use a regular offering envelope and mark it “School Uniforms.”

SuppliesA list of supply items needed is provided. You may also pick up a copy of this list by the bulletin board in either foyer to the worship center. Your participation is a ministry to our neighborhood.

This Sunday August 2, Transition Team will meet at 4:00pm Steering Team will meet at 5:30pm

Thanks to all who attended the monthly Business Meeting last week and help with the reading and work on our Bylaws. It is a tedious task but very necessary. The team with the task of working and developing Agape Bylaws will need to meet one more time. We will then have a final business session to finish the revision and adopt our revised Bylaws.

Agape’s Transition and Steering Teams are working and you can expect some new things to be coming. Many of your suggestions you made during the summer at one of our “work together sessions” will be starting. Our people will be needed to help in many ways. Please be in prayer for the needs of our church and for our church as we seek to find God’s will in all our endeavors. Pray for and help us find God’s will for Agape Baptist Church.

Extended Care: August 2 Cynthia Ellerman and Mayeli Jones.

August 9: Bobbie Payton and Shellie Fairless.

See You Sunday,

Betty Hall
