Agape Message

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

Friends,

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 6:23) “Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39)

These verses give us wonderful promises and they also help us to understand that we must share God’s word with our world and our neighborhoods. All people need to know God’s LOVE!

Some of us spent a great deal of time last week following up our recent Block Party. There are many who want to come to church but having a difficult time getting all things ready and getting there. I have the feeling we need to work to find easy entrances for them. I certainly am not sure just how to do that but together we must pray and work together, helping them to know and experience God’s LOVE! Please join me in praying for our outreach to those who need the Lord so very much. Please give them a warm welcome when they come to visit. Because this Message goes on the web, I am not able to give personal names or addresses. If you wish to send something to a new member or visitor contact me personally by phone or email and I will be able to help you.

Business Conference will be July 24 at 5:00 pm in the worship center. The Personnel Team will be bringing recommendations for the staffing needs of our church.

Please be praying for the Pastor Search Team as they meet and work toward this search for a pastor. These make up the team: Tracy Ligon, Gerald marsh, Olivia Lewis, Alice Curtis, Abraham Sukumar, and alternates: Abiola Olagbami, Lynette Mayo and Beverly Germany.

Please pray also for out ESL classes and those of us who teach. We need wisdom from the lord in working with these individuals and to find ways to help them with all their needs.

It will not be long before school will be getting underway. Please pray for our relationship to the school and our Christian influence in this area. You will be given more details as the time draws near.

There were babies and young children in our nursery last Sunday of visitors and families visiting. What a blessing we can thank God and praise Him for these.

Extended Session July 24: Mayeli Jones, Bobbie Payton

See You Sunday,
