Agape Message

 Wednesday, March 1, 2017

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and
perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not
grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1b-3

Global Missions Offering

Our emphasis on the Global Missions Oering has ended, but you can give anytime during the year.
Our total is $16,006. This is commendable for a church our size. All of this will go to support the
missionary personnel on the field, both in the U.S. and around the world.

Bags for Homeless Shelter

There is still time to donate fabric or help make bags on March 11 at North Fort Worth Baptist
church. These bags will be filled in July to go to area homeless shelters. You can begin collecting
small or medium size toiletries to fill these bags. Items needed are tooth  brushes, tooth paste,
deodorant, bar soap, wash cloths, lotion, and combs.

After School Enrichment

Our after school enrichment activities on Monday afternoons is progressing. We had 15 students
attend this week. We are also able to become acquainted with parents as they pick up the children.
Please mark Thursday night, May 4, on your calendar for a “Show & Tell” night with the children
when you can mingle with their parents and get to know some of the people in our neighborhood.

Christian Women’s Job Corp

Christian Women’s Job corps will be opening again for their spring session on March 22 and will run
through April 28. Your prayers, volunteers for Bible Study /Devotions, teachers, and lunches for the
class are needed. If you can help, contact Wanda Helms: elnorene@ flash.net

Agape Work Day March 4

There is to be a work day on Saturday March 4. There are many little jobs that anyone can help with.
Please come and give a hand to help with these chores. You don’t need to give notice, just show up
in clothes for working and the team in charge will have jobs that you can help with to make our
church clean, tidy and all areas in working condition.
Thanks to all who came and participated in the Business meeting Sunday evening. It is helpful to
hear from others and share ideas. As we work together God hears us and blesses our working
together for the good of all and our outreach to the neighborhood and the world. Please keep all our
needs and need on the prayer list before the lord as you talk to Him.
See You Sunday,
Betty Hall
