Friday Message

Agape Friday Message 7-3-15

Trust in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; and he will give you the desires of our heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret– it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. (Psalm 37:3-9)

We are remembering our heritage and those who have gone before us. We are also remembering those who fought for us and gave their very lives for us to have freedom. (Fourth of July week end) However, on every hand we may feel we may be losing some of our freedoms. The verses above tell us to be still and wait patiently for the Lord. Trust in Him.

Summer can be a very busy time. Many will be away for vacations. Thanks to others who fill in or help when another faithful member needs to be out. Let us work together to greet visitors, help new people find their way and take time to learn of needs. Our prayer emphasis is over but prayer every day is helpful and worth time spent with God. Let us continue to thank God for the many blessings we have each day. Check our Prayer needs sheet for many with special needs.

Extended Care: July 5: Jo Crawford, Mayeli Jones. July 12: Bobbie Payton, Cynthia Ellerman.

See You Sunday,

Betty Hall
