Agape Message

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. Many are the woes of the wicked, but the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him. Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; sing all you who are upright in heart! (Psalm 32:8-11) “For the word of the Lord is right and true: he is faithful in all he does.”

(Psalm 33:4)

Because the last day of school before Christmas is on December 22, we are having our Christmas lunch for the faculty and staff at Luella Merrett Elementary School the week before on Monday, the 12th.  Since we have so little time before then to sign up to help with food, it would help if everyone signed up on Sunday, December 4.  There will be sign-up sheets in Bible study and at the back of the worship center.  Food would need to be taken to the school library by 10:00.  This is a way to show the faculty and staff that we appreciate their work in helping the children in our neighborhood.

Just a word or reminder: The Global Mission Banquet is this Friday Night December 2 in Faith Hall at 6:00 PM. The Green’s will be with us on Sunday Morning for or Bible Study hour or Sunday School. This will be a special time in which they will be giving us information about their Mission Work and experiences.

For your information all our Agape ESL classes, GED and all related to these programs will be having a meal together on Sunday December 18, in Faith Hall from 3:30- 5:00 PM, as they celebrate Jesus Birth.

Our Choir will be presenting Christmas Music on Sunday evening December 4, at 6:00 PM. Invite a friend of bring someone with you as you come.

These are busy days for many of our congregation. Remember that it is the Lord’s Birthday that we celebrate. Ask and allow HIM to be the center of our hearts and our celebration. Please keep praying for the needs of our world, our city and our neighborhoods. Pray for the Global – Mission Offering, for the many needs of world. Pray for our Agape Church and its people as we look to the future and seek God’s will for our Church and all our people.

See You Sunday,

Betty Hall
